Celebrate Shelton is rounding out its 11th year of energizing Downtown Shelton with vibrant community events by hosting Food Trucks on the River: Fall Edition on Friday, September 12, from 5:00–10:00 PM, and Saturday, September 13, from 11:00 AM–8:00 PM at Veterans Memorial Park (rain date: Sunday, September 14).
This free, family-friendly festival will feature over 25 food trucks serving up local favorites, craft brews, wine, cocktails, and mocktails at the New Belgium Bar sponsored by New Belgium Brewing Co. and LoveLou Wines, along with handmade artisan vendors, community programming, and exciting entertainment for all ages.
Families can enjoy performances by the Westchester Arts Circus at 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Saturday, and capture the fun at the 360 Photo Booth with Good Vibes Entertainment on Friday evening.
Live music will fill the park throughout the weekend, with Friday night performances on the Main Stage by Mushroom Cloud, The Inside Out, Ros Co, and special guest DJ Doey Joey. On Saturday, the Listening Lounge—sponsored by Liberty Bank and hosted at the New Belgium Bar—will spotlight Connecticut musicians Benny Mikula, Seth Adam, and Bryan Titus.
"We have been creating events for these last 12 years, and each year we continue to attract larger attendance and new audiences. It feels good to know we can provide these experiences in the place we call home," said Celebrate Shelton founders Nicole Heriot-Mikula, Michael Skrtic, and Jimmy Tickey.
With a suggested donation of $5 per person to help support future programming, Food Trucks on the River continues to celebrate the best of Shelton—food, music, art, and most importantly, community.
Celebrate Shelton is made possible by the support of its annual sponsors, including Liberty Bank, City of Shelton, Tuttle Insurance, Trader Joe’s, RD Scinto, Valley Community Foundation, Cedar Village at Carroll's, Griffin Health, Apple Rehab, Prestige Builders, Cohen & Thomas, Inline Plastics, Physician One, and New Belgium Brewing.
